After a bit of a lie-in, we went to visit the iconic Guggenheim museum.

The building itself is amazing, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. We saw some of the drawings in the exhibition at MoMA during our previous few days in New York. The main gallery is a continuous helical path that rises around the main atrium:

They do have some nice paintings and sculptures there too…

When we came out, the queues to get in were very long – they have a ‘pay what you wish’ entry after 17:45 on Saturdays. Glad to have paid and avoided such crowds.

Afterwards, we ate at the rather posh ‘Boathouse’ restaurant in Central Park. Good food again.
